meet august
Meet handsome Mr August. He has two beautiful sisters, Evie & Hadley who REALLY love him, like a lot! I've known his mom, Ashten, for awhile now and I was so excited when she brought me her adorable little boy!
Scott & Stephanie
I first met Scott and Stephanie when they came to me for their maternity session. Then I had the pleasure of meeting their sweet baby boy for his newborn session.
A Winter Maternity Session
I was so excited to photograph this beautiful couple. They were welcoming their first baby. Proud new parents to be, both of them beamed with love and joy during their maternity session with me.
With it being summer, my kids are out of school and I really needed things to do in Calgary. My three young children need something to do outside of the house. My husband and I love to take them to different parks, go to community events, and go out for day trips. We like to find museums, zoos and aquariums to learn about the world around us.
While I was looking up awesome spots to take my kids in Calgary, I figured I would write a list to share with you and your family too!
Calgary Zoo – From the splendor of the Rocky Mountains to the heart of Destination Africa, The Calgary Zoo takes you to see almost 900 animals from around the world. Trek through the gorilla’s rainforest, safari over the Savannah to watch the hippos swim, or climb the Canadian Wilds to see a grizzly bear. Cool off and get beak to nose with 4 species of penguins in our popular Penguin Plunge or visit endangered red pandas and amur tigers in Eurasia! Wind down your trip with a walk through our fragrant Dorothy Harvie Gardens or sit with the butterflies in ENMAX Conservatory. You’ll love knowing that every visit helps protect endangered animals at home and in the wild. NEW in 2017 is the unique and immersive permanent Land of Lemurs exhibit.
Solve a Crime at the Police Museum – The YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre is the perfect place to learn about policing. Not only is the museum completely free, but there are plenty of things to see and do that are fun for the entire family.
The Rec Room – They’ve added some serious fun and games to Deerfoot City, rounding out the hip, urban social scene at the city’s newest retail and entertainment destination.

Glenbow Museum – Glenbow is a place of confluence. A meeting point for people and communities to join a flow of ideas, knowledge, opinions and experiences. Their exceptional collection of art and historical objects represents the people and ideas that have shaped the region. That collection is complemented and contextualized by travelling exhibitions that explore historical and contemporary art, fashion, design and innovation from around the world.
They are committed to expanding the accessibility and impact of art and culture in our community through exhibitions and programs that provide meaningful experiences for all visitors.
As an independent, non-profit member-based organization, they generate over 60% of our operating revenue through fundraising, museum and program admissions, and memberships. This is a top choice for our family of things to do in Calgary.

Horsin Around offers a year round indoor facility that includes Pony Rides, Petting Farm, Bouncy Castles, Horsedrawn Wagon Rides, Birthday Parties, Western Riding Lessons, Summer Camps and Corporate Events. If visitors want to become experts themselves, they can delve further with group or private lessons. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and includes 15 minutes of ground work and a half hour of riding on a training horse. Guests can also enjoy activities at Horsin Around during birthday parties, corporate functions, and throughout the holiday season, when sleigh rides begin to roll across the property.
